English - Key reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, spelling and language skills taught through a wide variety of text-types (disaster stories, newspaper reports, explanation texts, narrative poetry, stories with a moral, discursive writing).

Important Information

 

PE

Year 6 have Swimming every TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY afternoon.

Please ensure your children come to school in their full PE Kits every Tuesday and Wednesday:

  • Yellow PE shirt (COMPULSORY)
  • Non-branded, plain black shorts (COMPULSORY)
  • Black pumps (COMPULSORY)
  • All jewellery is to be removed before every PE session and long hair is expected to be tied back. Children MUST be able to take their own earrings out for swimming.

 

Homework

  •  Reading- children should be reading daily, covering a wide range of genres (please ask for advice)
  • Weekly homework will be given out on Mondays, due back the following Monday.
