Year 5

In Year 5, Miss Baxter is the class teacher. We are supported by our class TA, Miss Carter. The 1–1 staff in year 5 are Mrs Buttriss, Miss Bunting, Mrs Bridges and Miss Ainsworth.

Important Information 

Year 5 will have PE every MONDAY and THURSDAY afternoon. Children can come to school in their PE kit.

 

Please ensure your children are wearing the following for PE:

  • Yellow PE shirt (COMPULSORY)
  • Black shorts (COMPULSORY)
  • Black pumps (COMPULSORY)
  • Trainers for when we're lucky enough to go outside (OPTIONAL)
  • Outdoor bottoms / jacket (OPTIONAL)
  • All jewellery is to be removed before every PE session and long hair is expected to be tied back.


 

Homework

Year 5 will receive homework every Monday which will be due in the following Monday.

The homework will consist of practising key mathematical calculations, times tables, spellings and reading. There may also be added information on the types of things we will be looking at the following week.

If children do not complete their homework, they will be expected to do it in their own time within school hours.
