Welcome to Year 3's page!
Ms Woods, Miss Morris, Mrs Robinson and I are looking forward to a fantastic year of fun and learning. We are looking forward to see lots of smiley faces.
This term our history topic is the Tudors. As well, we will be looking at familiar settings and will focus on woodlands. In maths, we are looking at place value and understanding the value of each digit in some large numbers!
It would be wonderful if lots of children are reading regularly at home - please ensure that this continues each week as it is key to developing children's learning across the curriculum.
If you have any questions or would like to talk about something, please come and see me.
Our P.E lessons will take place on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Please make sure that your child has the appropriate kit in school at all times, in case of any timetable changes.
The required kit is:
- yellow t-shirt
- black shorts
- pumps/plimsolls (or trainers for outdoors)
Your child will be given spellings to practise each Friday.
It is essential that your child reads regularly at home, as well as in school, as research shows that this helps children find reading easier, become better readers and enjoy it more.
Additional homework will be provided throughout the year.
