This term, we have been working hard to solve multiplication and division problems.
We really enjoyed drawing on the tables with whiteboard pens in order to solve division problems.
We were kindly invited by Capita to help make bug and small animal houses. We learned about hibernation and some of the ways animals adapt to their surroundings.
Remember to check out our amazing work work at the quarry!

There's nothing quite like a jam sandwich! Year 4 have been learning to write instructions in order to make the best jam sandwiches in town. We had a giggle at the results of unclear instructions but we finally got there!
Wednesday 26th September
We have been working so hard in maths this term that we ended our place value block with a team game. The children worked in their maths groups to match the thermometers with their temperatures. As you can see from their times, the children worked exceptionally fast!
Wednesday 19th September
As part of our autumn topic learning, we have been busy making Stone Age bread - using only the bare minimum ingredients!
We used our Maths skills to weigh and measure; worked as a team to mix and knead; and of course, we ate what we made! Reviews of the bread were mixed but we had great fun anyway!
A warm welcome back from Miss Elle, Mrs Fountain and Mr Wilson. We are so excited to see you and we hope you are looking forward to the year ahead!
This term our topic will be 'The Stone Age'. We will be going back in time to learn all about how the earliest humans survived, what became of pre-historic animals and even how to take care of a woolly mammoth!
